Washington State Cross Country Coaches

Hall of Fame

The Washington State Cross Country Coaches Hall of Fame represents some of the finest high school coaches in the state of Washington. Until 2013, Coaches had to be retired from the sport in order to be inducted. As of 2013, the Hall has begun to also induct active coaches as well. Coaches may be nominated by any active member of the Washington State Cross Country Coaches Association. Final candidates are selected by the Hall of Fame committee and approved by the Executive Board. The Hall of Fame committee consists of past WSCCCA presidents Tom Campbell, Steve Bertrand, and Mark Cullen. Hall of Fame inductees are recognized annually at the WSCCCA Awards ceremony. Their plaques are on display at the WIAA headquarters in Renton and they are also recognized here.

To be considered for the Hall of Fame, a coach should have meet some or all of the following criteria: Over 15 years coaching, significant team or individual performances at the highest level, significant contributions to the sport outside of their specific team, major historical achievements. We encourage coaches to use our Hall of Fame nomination form to recommend coaches.
